Homemaker Services

Concepts in Care's Homemaker services include general household activities that are provided by trained Homemakers. Homemakers are available to clients who are unable to manage the home for him/herself or the individual regularly responsible for these activities is temporarily absent.

Homemaker services are activities directed toward home management and assistance with the activities of daily living. They are presented to help clients who have a multitude of needs and require assistance in order to remain in the home.

Homemaker Activities Iinclude (but not limited to):

  • Plan and prepare meals
  • Wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils
  • Clean kitchen counters, cupboards, and appliances
  • Clean bathroom
  • Make bed and change sheets
  • Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors
  • Tidy and dust home
  • Launder clothes and linens needed for client's use
  • Bag trash innav the home and put out for pickup
  • Shop for essential items (i.e., grocery shopping, cleaning supplies.)
  • Continually assess for safety of home and environment and contact the office with any concerns
